What is it that separates good leaders from great leaders? Increasingly, research shows that the ability to be civil is a competency imperative for everyone seeking success in leadership.
Looking forward to 2020, leadership in the “new world” of work is about building relational wealth. This type of leadership engagement requires leaders to forge human-to-human connections built on empathy and trust.
Building on lessons learned over the last 20 years working in corporate America, Dr. Renée Baker is committed to helping leaders cultivate a civility mindset within organizations, and educating them about the consequences of uncivil behaviors in the workplace.
A corporate executive, professional speaker, and scholarly practitioner, Dr. Baker-who is a candidate for ICTC Master Civility Trainer Status, as well as a certification program reseller with Civility Experts Inc.-offers transformational keynotes, workplace and cultural change readiness seminars, and leadership workshops.
Originally from New Jersey and a recent transplant to sunny St. Petersburg, Florida, Dr. Baker balances her time between teaching leadership and civility and her executive marketing position, which she incorporates into her training. What’s next? Watch for Dr. Baker’s new book, Lead and Be Civil, planned for release in the summer of 2018.
